Danspunt provides a masterclass every year for people who want to use dance, body work and artistic education in schools and groups with diverse audiences. Our guest this year is Segni Mossi. In an intensive programme, Allesandro and Simona from Segni mossi will provide you with numerous ideas and forms of work. The emphasis in the training is the question: how can dance and drawing inspire and challenge each other?
Programme
Segni Mossi training sessions are full of dance-drawing forms of work. Practical work is alternated with observation and the elaboration of methodology. The training sessions are intended for educators, dancers, visual artists, teachers interested in art education and people who are curious and ready to help groups of children, teenagers and adults experiment with dance-drawing, but they are above all an opportunity for gaining experience and personal development.
Segni Mossi offers a range of trainings. On Monday, October 6, 2025, they will come to Danspunt with the PINK training. You don’t have to take Segni Mossi classes in any particular order. They are individual sessions characterised by simplicity, rigour, play, exploration and collaboration.
PINK training
We will free signs from paper, gestures from repetition. We will be guided by the unexpected. We will draw complex balances and sudden, but deliberate, ruptures. We will observe with our backs, explore with our bodies. We will capture the faintest traces. We will send marks far away. We will draw like flocks, like the clouds in the sky, for the joy of those watching from the ground.
It tastes of balances, connections, shivers of color.

For who?
This workshop is for:
- Dance teachers who want to think outside the box and dive into an experiment where dance and drawing meet.
- Primary school teachers looking for fresh inspiration for their creative arts lessons.
- Artists who are curious about how they can engage and work with children.
- A background in drawing or dance is not required—only a willingness to experiment.
By whom?
Segni Mossi is een onderzoeksproject ontstaan in 2014 van de beeldend kunstenaar Alessandro Lumare en de choreograaf Simona Lobefaro met als doel de interactie tussen dans en grafisch tekenen te onderzoeken met kinderen en volwassenen. Ze werken samen met Mus-e Italia om sociale inclusie te bevorderen door middel van kunst in openbare basisscholen van Rome (IT).
Sinds 2015 geven ze trainingen en workshops in meer dan 20 landen. Ze zijn geselecteerd door de organisatie HundrED als een van haar 100 meest innovatieve onderwijsprojecten over de hele wereld voor de jaren 2017 en 2019.
Hun doelen in het werk met kinderen en volwassenen:
- het tekenen valoriseren en bevrijden van elke representatieve functie;
- meer vertrouwen krijgen in het gebruik van ons lichaam als communicatief instrument;
- het verband onderzoeken tussen de expressieve kwaliteiten van de lichaamsbewegingen en de expressieve kwaliteiten van het tekenen;
- het experiment als een werkmethode beschouwen;
- meer stil staan bij het creatieve proces dan bij het resultaat;
- het vermogen ontwikkelen om zich in te zetten in groepsactiviteiten;
- vertrouwen krijgen in zichzelf en in anderen;
- de verschillen waarderen;
- kritisch denken en esthetisch gevoel stimuleren.
